(HONG KONG, July 7, 2021) For the sixth year in a row, American Express announces the launch of “Amex Shop Small” in Hong Kong, as part of the Company’s global movement to support local businesses around the world.
Previously named “Amex Love Local”, the campaign aims to support Hong Kong’s local merchants – the heart and soul of the community. This year’s Amex Shop Small has more than 24,000 participating establishments, and American Express Cardmembers can enjoy exclusive privileges while supporting their local favorites, earning as much as HK$500 in rewards.

Offers for American Express Cardmembers from 2021 Shop Small
- Registered Card Offer One for Shopping Purchases: From now until September 15, 2021, American Express Cardmembers will receive a HK$25 statement credit[1] upon spending HK$50 or above in a single transaction with their registered American Express® Card at participating merchants, up to 10 times, once per location. Cardmembers can therefore enjoy a maximum of HK$250 rewards.
- Registered Card Offer Two for Dining & Online Purchases: From now until October 31, 2021, American Express Cardmembers will receive a HK$25 statement credit[2] upon spending HK$50 or above in a single transaction with their registered American Express Card, up to 10 times, once per location/ website. Cardmembers can therefore enjoy a maximum of another HK$250 rewards.
- Year-round local savings: From now until June 30, 2022, American Express Cardmembers will receive HK$20 instant saving[3] at checkout upon spending HK$150 or above with their American Express Card in a single transaction on regular priced items, à la carte foods and beverages at participating merchants.
