UBS appoints Sheryl Fofaria as the Head of Social Impact and Philanthropy for South East Asia

According to UBS’s internal announcement, Sheryl Fofaria has re-joined UBS as the new Head of Social Impact and Philanthropy for South East Asia. The multinational investment bank and financial services company want to further boost its Social Impact and Philanthropy capacity in South East Asia.

Sheryl has 18 years of experience spanning philanthropy and finance. Prior to joining UBS, she led J.P. Morgan’s Philanthropy Centre in Europe, the Middle East & Africa – advising wealth management clients on using philanthropy strategically to address social and environmental issues. Before this, she advised institutional asset managers and hedge funds on their cross-asset macro and Asian equity strategies at UBS Investment Bank in both London and Hong Kong. She serves on the Board of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and also has grassroots experience running programmes for a UK social enterprise focused on diversity, inclusion and social mobility. Sheryl has an undergraduate degree in Economics & Management from Cambridge University and postgraduate in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Sheryl will be based in Singapore reporting directly to Tom Hall, UBS Global Head Social impact and Philanthropy with local supervision by Dino Rinaldi, Co-Head APAC A&S and Client Services.
