Ben Sun is promoted to the CEO of Havas Creative Group China, meanwhile retaining the position of Chief Creative Officer of Havas China. He will continuously lead the creative team for the success of Havas’ creative presence in China. This appointment is effective from July 1, 2023.
Ben joined Havas Group in 2006, and became the Managing Director and the Chief Creative Officer in 2019. For nearly 2 decades, he has contributed creative intelligence and empowered the team to promote steady growth of the company and the industry. He is also the youngest member of the group’s global and Asia Pacific Creative Council, who brought home the first Cannes Lions to Havas China. After this promotion, he will be fully responsible for the overall business management of Havas Creative Group China.
In addition of leading Havas Creative, Ben spared no effort in cultivating new talents in the industry and practicing social responsibility. He initiated Havas Overseas Internship Program together with Shanghai University, to send outstanding students to Havas overseas offices for their internship, to uplift their international visions and profession. He also launched a “Special Internship Program” joining hands with Special Art College, Shanghai Institute of Technology, to hire hearing-impaired students as graphic designers, hoping to solve their employment issues.
In promoting the industry, Ben also did his best. As chairman of judge and guest speaker, Ben often joins diversified industry events and university forums to nurture the next generation. He was elected as the 17th and 18th Chairman and Secretary General of China 4A to share insights and promotes excellent works. Joining hands with partners and peers, he is dedicated to building China advertising to promote industry-breaking exchanges and cooperations.
