AXA Tianping, Qhealth to Redefine Healthcare Delivery in China with Expanded Strategic Partnership

• AXA Tianping and Qhealth to launch revolutionary health management model combining
health insurance and telehealth services
• Online & offline healthcare ecosystem to offer customers high quality and easily
accessible, health services

SHANGHAI, 2 JUNE 2020 – AXA Tianping and Qhealth (previously known as Tencent Trusted Doctors),
an integrated private medical service group, are combining their global and local expertise
to meet the growing demand for health management in China by providing the continuum of care
and innovative one-stop health management solution to our customers. AXA Tianping will bring
the full weight of the Group’s international expertise in health insurance, and leverage
Qhealth’s online & offline resources to support its transformation from being a traditional
“payer” to customer’s health “partner”.

The partnership supports innovative new ways for customers to manage their health. Quality
telemedicine services allow customers to enjoy hassle free online consultations and diagnoses
at home, without the need to frequently visit clinics or hospitals and reducing logistical
burdens and cost of care. At the same time, it also helps to detect potential illness through
early intervention to avert risks by ‘nipping health issues in the bud’. When there is a
need for treatment at medical institutions, AXA’s customers will benefit from support services
like coordinating doctor’s appointments, medicines pickups, clinics as well as access to
other offline resources to ensure they have access to the most appropriate and effective
medical assistance.

In a roundtable hosted by leading financial commentator Wu Xiaobo, CEO of AXA China Xavier
Veyry, CEO Designate of AXA Tianping Yamin Zhu, and President of Qhealth Dr. Martin shared
their joint vision on the future of healthcare management for China in the post COVID-19 era.

XAVIER VEYRY, CEO of AXA China said, “As a global leader in health insurance, AXA sets the
standard in digital healthcare and innovative health services in China. We believe that in the
future, health management will be centred around the concept of ‘home’ where online & offline
medical services meet personal health management. It will empower customers to maintain health
or recover from illness with full confidence, so that they can focus on themselves and their
family and live a better life. “

DR. MARTIN, President of Qhealth, said “Having insurance protection run through the veins of
our innovative healthcare ecosystem gives additional peace of mind to customers. Our extensive
network of over 450,000 doctors coupled 107 private clinics and nearly a thousand health
terminals across the country will provide powerful support to AXA Tianping. We wish to work
together with AXA Tianping to offer high-quality medical services backed up technologies such
as artificial intelligent that are accessible to everyone via the most convenient channels at
an affordable price.”

AXA Tianping and Qhealth first joined forces in 2019 to provide tailor-made solutions for
customers. The pandemic has led to rising awareness for mental health, resulting in a surge
of demand for mental health management solutions. The strategic partnership will continue to
expand with plans to launch a series of mental health services to meet customers’ needs,
including online psychological consultation, specialist psychological care, online medical
care, as well as clinical care. They will also join hands to develop and launch more highquality healthcare products and services in the fields of pediatric care, diabetes, and chronic
disease management.

Recently, AXA Tianping established an “Anti-Pandemic Alliance” with Qhealth where AXA
Tianping donated policies to protect Qhealth frontline medical professionals and around-theclock online counselling services were offered to AXA Tianping’s customers and staff.
